Nope
Greetings growers of every creed, I am looking for an affordable 150mm 6” Desk & Tent Clip Fan in jhb. I am aware there are suppliers in other regions who have them, but my desire to pay more courier fee's is waning. Do you know of any Jozi based suppliers who have these items in stock? Any alternative item you would recommend for a 1m x 1m tent? I'm not keen on a rechargeable unit. Thanks in advance Felix.
Nibiru
I recently bought a 30cm "desk fan" from checkers. It has 3 x speed settings and oscillates. R279, the 40cm was R299 Its quite big but the foot piece is removeable so you can hang it with some rope or something.

The prices these shops demand for a 6" clip on oscillating fan is ridiculous.
Nope
@Bakstein420 you can say that again. Hydroherb have a black unit for like R600ish. I cant justify that spend right now, is you Click fan a USB item?

Another option which is quite popular is the small box fans. Edited September 8, 2020 by Bakstein420
Nope
@Bakstein420 I'll do some research this afternoon. Thanks for the reply.
CreX
I feel the little clip fans are not as useful as a larger fan than can push more air at a lower speed. The makro cheapie are really worth it imo... Last longer than the clip fans too 1 1

PsyCLown
Those smaller clip on type of fans generally do not last all that long. I also prefer the larger box fans or oscillating fans, lots of options available with those - just need to become creative with how to mount them.

The clip fans I have had, have not lasted long. How old are your clip fans, I assume they also run 24/7 ? I see Hydroponic have a RAM clip fan, wonder if that may not last longer. Its like R600 though.

Its like R600 though.I've just got the Safeway ones recently so I can't comment much about their lifespan... I've been running one for a few weeks now, will update on the lifespan when it dies. My other clip fan though, made by bright star lighting, has been running 24/7 for the past 8 months or more... Except load shedding hours Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
PsyCLown
I also have a bright star one, got from Takealot a while back. One died, then takealot swapped it out. The other is quite noisy but still working.I got another one from I cannot remember where and that died within 3 months. Its like R600 though. I bought 2 clip fans from futurama earlier this year. They stopped oscillating after 4 days. But i couldn't return it as i cut the plugs off. I wouldn't recommend anything other than a "real" desk fan. You can always mod it to take up less space

Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk I have 3 of these fans and my oldest 1 is over a year old and still working fine running 24 hours a day, only the "grip things" to make it face and stay in a different direction are worn out abit but no complaints.
