Yeah but we dont talk about fight club lol. My advise is to just research every strain. I always ask myself how they crossed the strain. You can cross alot of different females together with one strain, but to suddenly having 10 different strains with different linages is a red flag. That's too many sources of different pollen to make sense. Example, this is a red flag for me. Generic strains all priced exactly the same.

I suppose one needs to distinguish between breeders and seed banks. These further split into seed producers or selective breeders, and seedbanks that either stock genuine breeder stock or bulk white label Spanish gear. Plus so many nuances inbetween as the industry starts taking a solid form.

I hear you guys.. for me, anyone who sells something and it turns out they misrepresented their product should be called out.

If I compare to the vaping industry in RSA.. there is a forum, ECIGSSA, and most of the top vendors in RSA are listed there. If anyone of those vendors does something sketchy they are immediately called out and taken to task. 

It may sound harsh, but the result after years of transparent opinion and debate is the most customer orientated, competitive and 'fair' industry I have ever dealt with. You can buy anything from any of the listed vendors and you know that you will get what you paid for. Yes, the cannabis industry is not there yet and still in its infancy, but I believe that by not calling out vendors from the get go sets a precedent and expectation in customers minds that it's okay to be ripped off here and there or that it's 'my' fault for not doing adequate research.

Yes, do your research, but is 420SA not part of that research and should we not actively contribute?

And with something like seeds the foundation of any transaction lies in trust. Apart from a sealed breeder pack, you have to have some form of trust that the seeds are what they purport to be. And even with sealed packs I fear there will be more and more 'fakes' doing the rounds.

Pardon the rant, I just have a bee in my bonnet when it comes to dishonest vendors. 

And a part of me enjoys seeing them named and shamed

For now I'm trying to source CBD oil/extract that I can infuse into my products until my next outdoor hopefully CBD grow.

I was so excited. Bud frosty and full of aromas.

I believe in the naming and shaming policy but only after I've approached the person/vendor to mention the problem and see what the response is. Legit companies also suffer unforseen circumstances. Their response makes the difference.

Anyone dealt with Taste of Cannabis?

@Totemic Thank you for the 5 Strawberry Sugar Cookies S1 seeds. Definately going to keep clones of every one and share with the locals. Everybody loves the chocolate gelatos. I'm going to be reversing the old school cheese next and will probably pollenate the Strawberry sugar cookies with the cheese autoflower pollen too. I want to make a shitload of auto cheese s1 seeds for the next outdoor season.  63 days avarege claim from fastbuds.

Nope, thc, cbd profile is about 100-150 rand for a test. Terpine profiles are expensive but that you only do on plants you finally work with and selected. Not knowing what you work with is the path to a mediocre to disastrous result.

I got "medical" Charlottes Web from a Canadian supplier... was total BS and had more THC as CBD content. If you want to go commercial, you MUST test each plant you start with or you have a very high risk wasting your time. If the clone doesnt come with a lab test, you simply have to do it yourself before you invest a lot of time. 

Seed fraud is massive out there with medical, pure CBD genetics! Havent found one yet.... all i got tested so far had way to much thc content inside.

Name and shame... doesnt helps much. I send my lab results to pacificseedbank.com. The Charlottes Web were from CBD Depo. They still use them as one of their major CBD seed producers. They, the seed bank itself, doesnt give a funk about what ever bad comment there is on some sites. People dont really check those... and as nobody really gets the genetics tested they buy... they have no idea what they actually consume.

 

Is really El Dorado out there... and they sell you shit for gold. Do your homework.. all you can do right now.

Yep, on qure's site potency test is somewhere round what you saying. Additional tests which I was looking at were terpines (pointless taking something for pain if you want something to help you sleep) for example and foreign organic matter.
I stopped adding what I wanted testing at the 1000bucks mark.
Chatting with Taste of Cannabis to see where I can get certified CBD tincture to work with for now. Just to be safe.
If you know of somewhere else please let me know.

They use the same method as Qure, just the Israelian version, Qure uses the Humboldt machine. They told me, tests are accurate compared to the expensive chromatograph versions. In a few years we have cheap machines to test at home, then the seed banks will get into real trouble.

 

Cannabliss also does Brix numbers, if you want your sugar tested, bring 4, 5 fan leaves per plant. Collect at least 4 hours after light is on. i aim to have 15% or more sugar in my leaves.

If you pay for the test at qure  they use a GC. They only use that Humboldt IR test when they travel to events.

Dude, you'll like be my best friend forever. End product after a successful grow will still be sent for testing for certification reasons.

I'm, urgg. Can't say how annoyed I am at the effort spent on growing this CBD strain only to find out it's not.
Nice smoke and good in edibles though. Not too goofed but don't plan on going for a hike either.

Cannabliss no longer have the store in Obs they online but still offers the test, contact them on socials to find out the details.

Harvested 2 anastasia 99's today, they are loaded with mature dark feminized autoflower seeds. Very happy with the phenos we picked as mothers. Can't wait to start testing the seeds. Let me know if anybody wants to test these new seeds indoors? 3/5 germinated from the fastbuds old school cheese autos and are happy and healthy. Going to make a kak load of cheese autoflower seeds.

Switching to a 24/7 lightcycle has been working out great. Every 4th day ill give them a 10 hour darkness. On this light cycle I get to breed the cheese autos, test the anastasia 99 autos and keep all the cool photoperiods in veg for clones. 

T1000 - She's a keeper. Revegged almost ready to cut clones. 

GMO Cookies, Freakshow, Gozer OG - Looking rough but they will make it. The clones got a bit baked in the backseat of a volla. Im just glad to have them back.

 

Blue cheese - Going to cut a shitload of clones from her when she's big enough. Cant beat that bag appeal of a sour cheese. 

The 3 cheese autos from fastbuds. Reversing the one on the left side. Slight sts burn but she will be ok.

All the seedlings are Anastasia 99 feminzed autos. Started them to sex test. Sent them out to a few testers including @DamDaveon 420sa. Good luck bud!

Upstairs is just a free for all. All growing in chicken shit and grass clippings,leaves compost from the chicken coop. These hens convert all the garden waste into very rich free compost.

Indoors its going ok but one of the three old school cheese autoflowers died after the second sts cycle. She just went limp and died in like three days. Never seen a plant die that fast. The other one im spraying didnt burn at all. 

Back 2 are the other old school cheese autos

Traded my T1000 and GMO cookies for Black wolf from one culture and Black cherry punch from idk. Both hunted. Black wolf has these waxi leaves and it will thrive over the summer outdoors.

Upstairs it going great, just chicken compost and smooth sailing so far.  Just spaying margaret roberts and hoping to avoid powdery mildew. Its late in the season for outdoors.
