We sprayed her with sts so she produced feminzed pollen. We collect her pollen and pollinate her sister by hand with a paint brush. Its a mission to do it by hand.

Shot bud Yeah it feel strange having big photoperiods in veg this time of the year. Im planning to grow tomatoes in every pot as well and have them vine on the raillings. Hoping these few on the left dont reveg. Indoors its just a waiting game for the fem seeds to mature fully. The two old school cheese autos at the back from fast buds are both loaded with feminized S1 R1 seeds. Its hard watching the plant go past ripe knowing how nice smoke it would have been. Im going to leave them until every seed is dark.
wingwing
if you don't mind me asking, what is a s1 f1 seed? does this mean you're going to have feminised cheese auto seeds?

S1 means feminised seeds F1 means regular seeds the 1 that follows the s or the f denotes the generation. If you have F4 seeds it means it is 4th generation of a specific cross. read about it. 1

Yes, I bought a pack of 5 Cheese autos from fast buds. 3 out of 5 germinated. 1 died a bit later. I reversed plant #1 and used the pollen on herself making s1 seeds, self 1. Then pollinated plant #2 with the pollen from plant #1 making R1 seeds. So yes it will all be full cheese auto 65 day seeds assuming that the seeds in the retail pack were stable. Cant wait to enjoy them this outdoor season.
Bay Seeds
Dug out about 600 litres of chicken compost out of the coop today. All from leaves, grass clipping and chicken poo. Chickens are awesome Resting the compost for a few weeks to break down. Will be adding molasses water weekly to speed up the breakdown. Half the plants upstairs are growing in only this chicken compost and are thriving. 5
The_StonedTrooper
They looking good with the poop, let's see how they taste after, haha. I am only having a laugh, and something very similar is in my soil actually, and mine come out sweet, well, so I am told Edited August 23, 2022 by The_StonedTrooper
ORGANinc.
So you are only using the chicken manure in the pots and getting really good results. That's very interesting. Your water usage must be efficient. I would like to ask, do you also use the manure only in your breeding project's?

No, with the indoor it's always a new batch of soil with extra perlite and dry amendments. With the input genetics being so expensive I don't want to take any risks with the breeding projects. The ppm and ph has to be dialed in. But with my outdoor, I'm more relaxed. When I started watering my plants less and less all the usual issues seemed to get less as well. I supplement extra calcium, magnesium and silica along with worm tea with weekly foliar feeds along with Margarete Roberts every week. Green grow organics in George sells a 20L cactus mix for R30 that I mix with the compost or i'll just mix in sand from the back gargen.
ORGANinc.
Okay I see, yeah just curious. The plants are reacting well to it. And the nutritional imprint would reflect on the seeds, so was thinking they would work nicely in high potassium environments (which is hard to avoid in cannabis growing). I’ve heard many times that the chicken make some powerful kuckas… Which is why I ask, thanks man.

Bay Seeds
This outdoor season I want to grow as much food as this yard can handle. I'm starting them indoors and will keep them in the tent until they are big enough to transplant outside. First batch in the dome looking good. This will be a kak load of work but im looking forward to it. After browsing weed seeds for years I was shocked at how cheap vegetable seeds are. Overstarting the amount and seeing what happens. 1

Bay Seeds
Getting crowded. Will need to get rid of the photoperiods soon and relace with cheese and ana99 autos. Its sad but ill probably compost them all. They wont finish, then reveg and get massive and out of control. We tried moving one downstairs but its a real kak heavy mission. I also dont want to trigger forum members by killing them all but I need the space and living soil for autos. These baby autos will finish 3 full cycles before any of the photoperiods finish. 5
