West Coast Vaper
5 months later through sapo this magical parcel arrives that I really thought was lost for sure. Conflicted now on auto's vs photos and what direction to take the breeding in.I'm yet to grow an auto but they seem to get a bad wrap. Why is that?Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk

Sent from my LM-X210(G) using Tapatalk So this is my opinion and my experience. Environment needs to be perfect, a stunted plant will end up smaller and yield less - not always very beginner friendly A lot of autos can still be quite unstable, lots of variances between the seeds of the same strains Cannot keep a cutting if you find a keeper plant Gotta buy more seeds and keep popping seeds if you want to grow autos Photoperiods are able to produce far higher THC percentages compared to atuoflowers Less control over when the plant goes into flower, less options in terms of training as you do not want to stunt the plant Yields are kind of capped, the plants goes into flower itself and you cannot end up with a huuuge plant It is not uncommon for people to try autoflowers and end up with 20g of dry bud or less, especially if you are still rather new to growing or mess up - heck one can even just get unlucky and have a seed which sprouts but grows slowly and then you're screwed. Sometimes it's better to scrap the plant and start from scratch as opposed to waste more time and effort on the plant you already have. Autoflowers have their place, for a newer grower it can be convenient not having to change the duration of light the plants get. If you want to grow in winter or want quicker harvests when doing an outdoor grow, autos will be able to provide this to you. Probably a few other things as well which I cannot think of at the moment.
Bay Seeds
Psy nailed it. Im breeing regular auto's so I will have male and female autos. Im looking forward to faster growcycles, spotting males early and having lots of variety in my jars. Autos in 2021 however are not low in thc but still get beat by photoperiods in thc levels. Bay Seeds
Collecting and saving as much pollen as possible from the males daily. The Russian fuel female in the back corner in the big black pot just started to flower. Strawberry cola by exotic is in the fabric pot. 2 smallest babies are fastbuds's pineapple express and the rest is all purple glam kush auto's.
Bay Seeds
All going well inside. As soon as we confirm the Russian fuel females are pollinated and see seeds forming we will kill the males. Having a future supply of pure auto males is the main goal. We have enough regular auto pollen stored to pollinate alot more girls if we wanted to. This grow cycle is simply seed prep for October. We Will start reversing females as soon as the males go and we clean every inch of growing space. Traded the Dark Horse packs for Cinderella Jack Autos from Dutch passion and Strawberry Cheesecakes autos from seedsman. With mother plants like cinderella jack capable of 25% THC crossed with Russian fuel at 18% we should produce really solid hybrids. Thats pollen all over the leaves.

Bay Seeds
These WhatsApp pics were sent today by my brother, he's not sure what's what anymore. They are either falcon heavy's or lemon attacks. He started them very late and like I am struggling with Powdery mildew outside. Always nice to get updates.
Bay Seeds
Indoor the 2 small pineapple expresses are struggling a bit. Not sure what the issue is? Runoff 6.6 ph, new freedom farms soil. The rest are doing great and seem to be growing well Outside the abandoned ones all have issues. Just spaying them and hoping they survive the winter. Also this sweet analog hygrometer from takelot arrived. Not bad for R150. Plus the new seeds from cannabist arrived as well. The gene pool of all these autos should make great hybrids.

Bay Seeds
Seeds are forming and Russian Fuel F2 regulars are on the way! Strawberry cough in the backyard had mildew but seems to have recovered fully.
Bay Seeds
Outside the big Strawberry Cough is almost ready and getting heavy. All the rest outside will not be harvested in the hope that they will survive the winter and reveg in spring. Looking rough but still alive. Indoor 4 confirmed pollinated. Cant wait to share these russian fuel regular auto crosses with the forum members.

I like the fact that I wont ever be surprised by males later in the season again when they are already big. I cannot wait to test them in summer and have harvests while everybody else is still vegging. More variety and smaller plants. I will have pure russian fuel F2's, strawberry cola x RF F1's, Purple glam kush x RF F1's to hunt in. Then crossing the winners with cinderella jack, strawberry cheesecake and larry lemon og. I will send you testers as soon as they are ready. Fun times.

Bay Seeds
This strawberry cola autoflower is doing well, and she's loaded with seeds from the Russian fuel males. Very old school cheese terps. This Russian fuel mother has had some issues but seems to be doing ok again. Full of F2 seeds. Flushed her and gave her elemental blend a few days ago. She has very gassy and pungent terps, way stronger than her sister or anything in the tent. So far only one true purple pheno in the purple glam kush auto's. The seeds of this plant will be special. Thats pollen on the leaf. Edited June 7, 2021 by Bay Seeds
Bay Seeds
I decided to test the sts pray out on that middle purple glam kush and she really did not like it. It burned her pretty badly. I'm reconsidering going in that direction. I sprayed her away from the others and waited till she was dry before putting her back. Maybe reduce the sts dose? Im also running low on pollen, removing the males that early was a mistake. If i see her reversing i will remove her from this tent. Seeds forming on every plant except the 2 pineapple expresses and the middle pgk.
Bay Seeds
Going really well, but we ran out of pollen. Could have made a lot more seeds. Close to harvesting the Strawberry Cola. Cant wait to germinated a ton of these autoflower hybrids. I want only purple males next time. The first 2 pictures show what unpollinated vs pollinated looks like.
