John Stonedwell
@Budwizer hey brother. Thanx for the shout out. Finished up the trimming of the Crescendo RBXV2 this weekend. She was the last plant to get chopped at 71 day flower with a 12 day dry. She yielded 99 grams... Humidity went Karoo style the last couple of days in Gauteng. All in all ended up with a 320 gram dry trim weight. Will post an update on dried bud pics and smoke report shortly.. here is the Crescendo we finished up with just now..

John Stonedwell
@Budwizer thanx bro much appreciated. I am already busy with the second grow on my strain journey. Got the next batch germinated and will run a new 6 strain diary shortly. Running some @Totemic Palomino and Tortoni alongside some TH seeds Bubblegum, Garden of Green Girl Scout Cookies, Braincake by Ripper and Twisted Helix by Inhouse. Then on to some old school genetics supplied by @Golden-Goose for the next run. For the love of growing
Golden-Goose
That's some nice frosty gear you grew there. I look forward to seeing what you do with our gear. Cheers brother 1
John Stonedwell
Hi folks. So after some tedious and time consuming trimming all the buds are jarred and curing away nicely with some 62% boveda packs. To be honest I love growing but trimming ain't one of my favourites yet it is the second last step after all that effort to grow the plants out. So I tried to trim as nicely as possible given the volume that needed to be trimmed. So the flower and drying times worked out as follows: All the clones (except Wedding Gelato) went for a 65 day flower with between 7 to 12 days drying time. Less plant matter quicker dry time.. The mother plants and Wedding Gelato clones went for a 69 day flower (except Crescendo RBXV2 - 71 day flower). The dry time on the mothers averaged between 10 to 13 days. Here are some of the bud pics post trim. I will do a smoke report in a week or so. But from the tasters I've had there seems to be some interesting aromas and flavours that shine through. John Stonedwell
Hi folks. So 6 months later, from seed to smoke, I have been able to enjoy all the strains and the tastes and smells they offer. So this is the last entry to close of the diary. Purple Queen: Kush hybrid so the smoke leaned towards a lemon/pine mixture and surprisingly actually worked very well as a day time smoke. Chocolate Haze: Very nice fruit flavours and smells with limited chocolate undertones. Very nice head high leaving you nice and energetic. A mate of mine noted her smell as beef stock Crescendo RBXV2: A very unique spicy smelling plant with a linger of mango on the smell. Taste was pronounced with a very nice orange marmalade on the exhale Wedding Gelato: This one hits you to the fences.. buds looked amazing and the smoke reciprocated with nice pepper and spearmint profiles. Old School: It was obvious that this was an Exo Cheese cross with both the smell and taste of the exo shining through. Glookies: This is the plant with the most pronounced smell and flavour profile. An exceptionally heavy citrus smell and taste leaning towards grapefruit and lime. During flower her smell was so pronounced it bordered on rancid. Also very energetic high. Uppercut: This was the most beautiful plant in the collection and most probably my favourite smoke. Her exhale smoke smells as loud as a Holland coffee shop next to a chemical factory she has a super soft on the palate taste leaning towards grape sherbet fuel mixture. Once she is smoked in a room you do not want to leave the room as the smell is so entrancing... Next grow is already up and running so keep an eye out for my next grow diary which will aptly be named Palomino and Friends. Giving some Totemic fire a run.. here is a sneak peak.. Happy growing folks and thanx for reading my grow diary.. hope it was as fun to read as it was to grow.. Peace Edited March 31, 2021 by John Stonedwell
