PsyCLown
Been busy, kept forgetting to take photos. This is the veg tent on the 6th, looks a bit different now. As you can see I moved the autos to the back under the lowered light. aaaaand this is flower at the moment, bit messy - some very lanky plants this grow canopy isn't all that flat. There are not any dark spots, just the way my camera has taken the picture. I have been adding some plants to the flower tent as I feel they are ready, so they're at different stages. Some in pre-flowering and others are starting to form bud. Also some still need to stretch. Been dealing with some thrips and random bugs in the coco, I suspect its springtails. I feel I am winning the battle with the thrips though and you can see a little burn on some of the older leaves from some sprays. need to spend a bit more time and trim and neaten the plants.

They seem to be recovering well and new growth is explosive! This weekend I want to try and move some over to flower, not all are quite ready for flower so not all of them will go into flower. A quick picture I snapped last night, starting to look more like plants I typically have in my tent Damn dude! Been a while but I have finally got a grow going again So I am quite fortunate in the sense that I did not have to start plants from scratch, got some larger cuttings from friends and most were ready to be potted up into 20L fabric pots already. Said friends did have some issues with pests and the overall condition of the plants meant that I needed to do a bit of work - top them, clean up the old dead leaves and now I need to start with some training and I obviously needed to spray for pests. When I got the plants I did a spray with a mixture of neem and pyrol, I much prefer Pyrol over Neem but had both and decided to not fuck around and get rid of these pests as the leaves had been attacked quite a bit by the thrips. Two nights ago I got some Beauveria bassiana (EcoBuz sell it as Pest Pro, as well as a few others under various names) and did a spray on my plants as a precautionary measure - not that I have seen any thrips since the first spray. I saw some bugs in the coco, but has not seen them recently and am hoping they have since died as well... not actually sure what bugs were in the coco to be honest. Some details on my grow, equipment and supplies etc. I am using Quantum Boards with Samsung LM301B diodes as per usual. I love these lights, they work really well and grow some dank bud! For air circulation I use box fans which are mounted at the top of my tent, blowing downwards. 23cm pots for the smaller plants, 20L Plant Matters fabric pots for the larger plants. The plants are all in coco with a bit of perlite. I use the 5KG bricks, buffer myself and just eyeball the perlite. I like to use GHE Tri Part nutes and I follow the feeding chart on the bottle I aim for a PH between 5.8 and 6.3 generally. Mostly in the 5.9 to 6.2 range actually. Below is a list of the strain I am running currently: Solfire Gardens - LSP (Lumpy Space Princess) In House Genetics - Bananium In House Genetics - Sugarcane Exodus cheese (not sure which breeder) In House Genetics - Jelly breath In House Genetics - Lime drops Exotic Genetics - Cookies & cream In House Genetics - Slurricane In House Genetics - Frosted apricots In House Genetics - Blunicorn TH seeds - French cookies Since some of these strains have already been flowered by my friends, I know how some will turn out and others I will need to wait until flower to know whether they will be keepers or not. So far it seems the Lime Drops and Frosted Apricots are not that great, Blunicorn could be better too I believe but I have not seen pics of these plants myself. The Sugarcane is a keeper for sure! Jelly Breath was quite decent too. The Exodus Cheese makes some really big buds I believe and French Cookies some very dense nugs. Cookies & Cream is from seed, there is a chance it may be a male. Also not sure how this pheno will turn out. I will certainly be narrowing down the strains for my next grow and scrap the strains which do not perform as well. I will be posting some pictures when I get a chance. Still need to do some training on the plants too, hoping to flip to flower before the end of Jan. Exodus is ethos.
PsyCLown
Did some defoliation last night in the flower tent, was much needed for light penetration and air flow. A very mess grow indeed, but this is what happens when you start with lanky plants which need to be trained and are quite tall already. The smaller ones in the front are a bit better as those were a bit smaller when I received them. Tent it starting to smell quite nice and I came out with my arms being a bit sticky after trying to get to the back to get rid of excess leaves. I love the smell of cannabis plants in flower.

PsyCLown
Last night I moved a Bananium and another Sugar Cane into flower, sometime soon I will likely move the Cookies & Cream into flower too... Maybe even tonight.
PsyCLown
So took this pic last night quickly, this is what the flower tent looks like currently - looks a bit overgrown to be honest. lol The original plants are around 4 weeks into flower, bud is starting to form, frost is starting to build up and the tent smells delicious!
PsyCLown
What I find interesting is the comparison and how much extra foliage grew after the defoliation I did around the 15th. So even after 3 weeks into flower, still got some growth on the leaves and plants. A decent amount too I feel.

Rhino horn, shark fins and the cherry on the top being ground up umbilical cord from a baby. On a real note, lights, nutrients and environment lead to happy plants, combined with some good genetics and the results speak for themselves. 11 minutes ago, Totemic said: I was actually going to ask if you going to defoliate more...it sure is dense in there I think I might, will take another look from different angles as well and see what it looks like and what sort of light penetration the leaves are allowing at the moment. Do not want to get rid of all the leaves, but do not want excess leaves. Also not going to lie, mission and a half to get in there and work with the plants now due to their height, the fact they're sticky already and the automatic watering system at the bottom limits me from moving the pots to make space. 1

PsyCLown
So last night I culled the Cookies & Cream as it turned out to be male. It has since been replaced by 2x Lime Drops (finally) which were put into flower last night and now the flower tent is FULL! .... until harvest. This will be a staggered harvest as I am sure you guys noticed I have been adding plants into flower in batches.
PsyCLown
So flower is going well, some plants already seem to be performing really well, others not so much. Some are merely average at this point, hopefully they improve but not convinced. LSP, so far appears to be a very poor performer. Possibly a very long flower strain considering it went into flower same time as the others but still loads of pistils and not a lot of bud, not much frost either. Sugarcane, looking superb as expected. Frosty AF! Time will tell how quick she ripens and how well she yields. Frosted Apricots, not bad but does not look anything too special to be honest. Looks more or less like the average quality bud. Not in the most prime position in terms of lighting though but doing well. I did not take pics of the others, some are a bit difficult to get to. Jelly breath looks similar to the Frosted Apircots, Slurricane seems to be a bit frostier but its really in there and I cannot quite get to it at the moment. lol All the above strains are around 37 days / just over 5 weeks into flower.
Stinger96
That sugar cane is a winner bud.. Wow... 1
PsyCLown
So I had a bit of a fuck up, due to the height of the plants and the weight of the colas... some plants fell down at the back of the tent and then some move fell over onto the other plants which pushed more plants over... a lot of plants had colas falling over so I had to get in there and try hang the colas up to keep them up until harvest which is not that long from now for some of the strains as some are very quick strains I believe. If I could get to the back of the tent, I could post pics of some other strains but you guys will have to wait a while. French Cookies, not sure I will grow this again: Frosted Apricots (I really really like this strain so far, hopefully the yield is good and smoke is good too): Exodus Cheese - big buds but lacking frost... This strain needs no introduction, the frost tells you what it is... Sugar cane: Blunicorn: 9
John Stonedwell
Dude that sugarcane looks unreal. All the plants looking super healthy and happy. Very well done 1
PsyCLown
So quick update, no pictures. Life has been crazy, will try take some pictures as soon as I get a chance to. I have harvested the first Sugarcane as well as Slurricane and Frosted Apricots and the Exodus Cheese. Jelly Breath is likely to follow sometime soon. The Lime Drops were culled a few weeks ago as well as I wanted a bit more space in my tent and was not happy with the way they were looking and had stretched and were falling over already in the pre-flowering phase.

John Stonedwell
I would love to see the Sugarcane final product. Really something unreal man. And also curious as to the taste of the smoke. Also excited to hear your Exo experience. Any idea yet who the breeder is?

Will post some pics soon of the end product once trimmed, will compare the sugarcane to the frosted apricots to the slurricane. They are all quite similar I feel. Exodus Cheese? Apparently it is Ethos, never knew they made an Exodus cheese. I have tried some which @CreX grew and it's alright. Nothing to write home about for me, the GF quite liked it though. Big buds, lacks the frost I am getting use to though. Potency was average I felt. 1
