PsyCLown
So I have cut the LSP now too. The Blunicorn is starting to look pretty good too: The Jelly Breath will likely be cut in the near future as well. Tent is starting to empty out now. French Cookies is not looking great, but it will be bud none the less I guess. 6
PsyCLown
Sorry guys, not much to update on here - just harvesting as plants are maturing. Do not have much left in the tent anymore. Some dry bud pics, I always struggle to take nice bud pics though and these are not the best but hopefully help give you guys an idea. Frost on all 3 is pretty good, particularly the sugarcane (duh) and frosted apricots. Slurricane is also frosty but I feel a tad less than the other two. These are not macro photos, just taken with a cell camera and then cropped. These are also not the biggest buds / colas, just reached into the jar to take out what I could get. I will admit that weight wise, none of these 3 are exceptional yielders but not terrible either. I have had other plants yield less. They also do not produce huge colas, unlike the cheese and LSP which I grew this time around. You can click on the picture to open it and zoom in a bit too. PsyCLown
Some updates on some of the plants still in the tent... The one Sugarcane I still have going, this one went into flower quite a while after the others. Here is the Bananium, don't think I have posted pics of it in flower yet. How do you guys think it looks in comparison to the Sugarcane? It has not been given the attention it deserves, but very keen to grow it out again and see what it can really do! When I get a chance, I will try take some pics of the bud which is dry and trimmed so you guys can see - will be the Exodus Cheese and LSP next in terms of bud pics.

The fan leaves look so good and the bud isn't that impressive in stature. Dry it and you trim away the fan leaves, so... Don't want to keep spamming Totemic's picture comments, however I do agree to a point. The sugarcane does not produce big buds, infact so far all of the very frosty In House Genetics strains I have run have without a doubt been some of the most frosty strains but the bud size is smaller than other strains I have run. With that being said though, the frost of the Sugarcane is by far the best and most impressive. Pictures I have taken do not do it any justice, gotta see it in person to truly appreciate it. It is an Instagram worthy strain in terms of frost. I actually feel bad trimming the sugar leaves as they're covered in just as many trichomes as the bud is! So far it certainly appears that the frost comes with one having to sacrifice bud size. Big buds are nice, but, gotta break them apart to get them to fit into the grinder anyways. haha Not something I am particularly bothered with, I happily smoke the popcorn buds as well. Ain't nothing wrong with them. 1
PsyCLown
So last night I cut down the blunicorn, bananium and the sugarcane (had some nice colour on it). I must make an effort to post some pics of all the other dry bud, gotta take pics though and I suck at taking bud pics - my phone's camera does not make it any easier either. I am considering sending some bud in to be tested and see what sort of potency was achieved with one or two of these plants.

There is a company which I think are in Fourways, Chromespec - never used them before, have reached out to them again to get more info. They have all the proper lab grade equipment though, no compromise in terms of equipment.

When the buds are so full of trichomes, or so nice and sugary, are they best to use to make Rosin and oils, or doesn't it matter? Doesn't really matter, one might get higher yields if doing extracts but I have not tested this myself. Ultimately I think the THC percentage will determine the way the strain yields when it comes to extracts. Although it does feel like a massive waste not keeping the trim and using it for some sort of extract, will likely use the trim from the next harvest though and try make some bubble hash perhaps. 1
