Wulf
Hey guys Can anyone please help identify what the hell this is??? Found a few ants on and around it. Removed the affected leave, and checked the other leaves,no other leaves were affected. A few days later found another one of these things...this time I squished it!!! Checked today, leaves look good... Thanks guys
Fridge
Looks like some kind of scale. The live in symbiosis with ants. The ants get sugar from them. https://www.thoughtco.com/scale-insects-and-mealybugs-superfamily-coccoidea-3634995 Edited February 5, 2021 by Fridge
CreX
looks like 2 types of bugs... a brown one, which i have no idea what it is, could be related. and the white looking ball of fluff is called a mealy bug... not the end of the world in low numbers... but best to not have them... general insecticide will work as they are soft bodied
Wulf
@CreX Hey bro, thanks for the reply Any particular insecticide that you would recommend?
CreX
If you can find it, pyrol would be your first stop as it will control most other bugs too... Otherwise soapy water if you are struggling with moola Pyrol once a week... Soapy water every 2nd day 2
