TheGrowGod Posted September 12, 2014 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Whatsup guys So i'm very new to the growing gameand as a broke as student having become sick and tired of having to pay for the beloved herb, i set out on a mission to grow my own bud. Little did i know, what was initially supposed to be a fun cheap way of growing my own bud would turn into a rather expensive obsession of mine!!! XD Needless to say i have loved absolutely every second of it and i can comfortably say that i am now a full blown addict My setup (its perpetual and i have two very similar setups of what is listed below) 120x70x165 tent 600w lamps with cooltubes and 6 inch fans 4 autopots with airdomes In the airdomes i use +-1,5l of leca in the bottom , then a 50/50 mix of coco peat and perlite and then i covered the top with a layer of leca to stop the cocopeat and perlite from getting all over the grow room - I highly recommend this - My res has a water pump in it which constantly agitates and oxygenates the water I use mycoroot supreme in the substrate (http://www.mycoroot.co.za/) which is a beneficial bacteria that helps my babies tick along I use nutriplex nutes and i monitor the PH and EC with electric meters Anyways I am currently away from my babies but will be back in a few days and shortly after i will post a few updates, here are a few pics which i can show you in the mean time Pic 1: Shows my tent all set up just missing my babies Pic 2: My pineapple express before trimming Pic 3: Pineapple express after trimming Pic 4: Shows my babies after a month of vegging - from left to right, jack heurer, pineapple express, master kush Pic 5: Shows how ridiculously huge my plants got after i went away for a week and consequently they now do not fit in my tent any longer This is my second grow and after having learnt a TON during my first grow, stumbling into a fair amount trouble, and hours of research later I feel like i'm slowly but surely getting a grip on things Hope you guys enjoy and by all means ask as many questions as you please and ill almost certainly get back to you Birdflu P.S. My plants are coming along great the pineapple express has seriously gotten out of hand though, its MASSIVE!!! But as bleak as i am that it did, theres a little part of me deep down down inside that is over the moon!! Cant Wait to see how much it yields, i really hope the buds are nice and dense my first grow was 3 almost pure sativas and the buds were horribly airy, something i dont ever want to have again. If I had to nit pick I'd probably say your plant on the far left is slightly overfed with the curling and leaf tips pointing down. Otherwise you are looking at one big harvest! How many times does a "fem" bean have to hermie for people to accept that the trait or sensitivity is inherently there?!?!? Toss the plant, chance are the resulting beans won't be what you hope. Just imho, I only spend my money on regular beans, a good male and female, and you'll unlock thousands of possibilities. Soon enough you'll barely need to buy beans. TheGrowGod Posted October 31, 2014 Author Share Posted October 31, 2014 Here's a minor update, my next update will only be at harvest time, to kinda give you an idea of what I managed to yield The nutrient burn made me lose interest and things became more of a mission than they were enjoyable, hence the lack updates. I had originally planned to make sure my journal was very professional and complete leaving no question unanswered, so for not having done that I do apologize That being said though the buds themselves look just fine and I'm sure I'll be more than satisfied with the end result Pic 1-4 =pineapple express Pic 5-6 =jack heurer Pic 6-8 =master kush I started a grow a few weeks back with just a few bag seeds(used bag seed because the vac starts soon and I won't be around to keep an eye on things so just going to leave them in my grow tent with a massive res and going to hope for the best. Will be checking on them halfway through the vac Thinking about going organic next grow...does any body know if bio bizz mutes will work with autopots, I do have a a water pump in the res keeping the nutes mixed - concerned about bad bacteria, and pipe blockages?
