Marzcanna
It's time for a new journey & a new diary, & let me be completely honest I was going to do this diary once I had reached harvest with pics and video and skip the all boring veg phase, but I soon found myself with a lot more work and a lot more content than Id like so I thought let me start this diary and update it on a monthly bases. OK so what are we doing this time? SETUP: We doing 15L & 20L autopots A side by side of organic and synthetic Organics are setup using 12mm lead piping and valve 5s Syntheic is setup using 6mm lead pipe with standard valves MEDIUM: For synthetics we going with perlite & coco (washed and buffered a week before potting) For organics going with coco & perlite ammended with malted barley, kelp meal, guano, frass, dolomite, biochar, aloe, alfalfa & Bokashi STRAINS: The strains will be Super Silver, K-2, Zkittlez & original glue by @Marijuana Seeds SA & Nirvana LIGHTS: This time we pulling out the Mars Hydro SP 3000 from the start with the help from the Leon 200, that's more than enough power in the hood for this grow I started off germination with some water in a cup and after 2 days potted in coco on a heat mat for 2 weeks in the dome with very light feed every 4 days 5 days later... All but 2 didn't sprout. Well.. One was very late to the party the other one never showed face so I decide to pop anther zkittlez seed At the end of 2 weeks they were ready to be trasplanted into their final pots Right side synthetics. Left side organics. At this point I had to top feed for at least 2 weeks before the roots were established in the Autopot system After 2 weeks of top feeding its was finally time to turn on the systems Some nice socks for the ladies.. Looks more like a water tube.. (well they are going for a swim after all) Zkittlez & Original Glue first week of veg Edited August 19, 2021 by Marzcanna 9
PsyCLown
Nice! Let's see how it goes. What nutes are being used for the two?

Hey @PsyCLownhope you well. So for the organics I'm mainly using RO water in a 50L flexi tank. Once a week I ll turn the system off and let the plants drink whatever water is in the tray for a day I will than top feed them with some dirty hands bio boost and bio nitro, with Silica dosage also once a week and separate day from the Bio boost & Nitro. I'm not sure how the silica will mix with the bio boost and bio nitro so I decided to do it on a separate day. Will ammend again before the flip and continue using RO water in the res for organics For synthetics im using silica, umyas cal mag, and the NutriGold range (Previously Known as Nutriplex) changing the res once a week Edited August 19, 2021 by Marzcanna
Marzcanna
Nothing to report for this week. Ladies entering their 2nd week of veg and they looking alright. Marzcanna
Week 3 veg and I going to be honest I have not seen growth like this with organics in awhile, so far I'm really enjoying the autopots with organics. The synthetics seem to be building salt on top of the coco and the growth somewhat seems slower compared to organic. I believe it might be due to the organics having a dosage of tricantonal which has been proven to boost growth Some of the ladies also got FIM, topped & LST Nothing else to report Zkittlez GG K-2 Edited August 31, 2021 by Marzcanna

Marzcanna
Just anther update, the k-2 & Zkittlez are growing fairly fast soz had to do some training on them, I must also add that supplementing silica has done wonders for training the plants, stems seem "rubber" like making it easier to push them at extreme angles without worrying to much about snapping. Will recommend anyone to try silica if you haven yet Applied some neem oil after the super cropping for the bugs and back in the tent they go for a week's recovery Edited September 14, 2021 by Marzcanna
Marzcanna
Anther week gone by and Im deceived to cut the veg time from the initial plan of 8 weeks to 6 weeks. So this weeks all about defioliation and recovery before we flip. I quickly found out that leaving your plants unattended for a week is a bad idea The Zkittlez started showing signs of deficiency. To me it seemed like either Potassium / Magnesium or Calcium. Since it's newer growth that's being effected I decided to give it some cal-mag. If anyone else knows what it might be feel free to share. All in all I'm happy with the overall health of the plants, gave them some lollipops for their good behavior and so will be flipping them soon That's it for this week cheeeeeers Edited September 19, 2021 by Marzcanna
Marzcanna
Week 6 done and start of week 7 This will be my last update until week 3 of flower. Everything has been boring up until now lol OK so we have seen the organics with some fast growth and they look lovely but the big question is, where the hell are the pics of the synthetic Marzcanna!? Well I don't like synthetic that's why lol! Actually the reason why I haven't posted any pics is because before I started this grow I had just enough amended coco from my previous grow for my organics, laziness soon kicked in when I realized that I'd have to buy anther brick, wash and buffered it, so I went and bought "washed and buffered" coco with perlite instead. Now I have mentioned that you should still wash and buffer your coco regardless and guess what I didn't follow my own advise, I watered the coco and planted directly (I won't mention the brand of the coco or the company, because it's partially my fault for not washing and buffering it regardless if it was advertised that it was) long story short you can guess what happen next, slow growth, alot of yellowing and even after loads of flushing and dosage of cal - mag it took the synthetics along time to recover (this is why I prefer to mix my own soil and this will be the last time I buy in pre made coco or mixed soil) The synthetics are now looking healthy and growing fast but I doubt it will catch up with the organics , I will post some pics soon but I guess it has thrown off the all side by side I had planed for this grow but forward we go. Here's a pic of the grow room at this stage and happy heritage day growmies! Edited September 24, 2021 by Marzcanna
Marzcanna
End of week 2 since flip and it seems like the ladies have stopped their stretch (thank goodness) So for the flip I gave the organics a top dress of Bloom nutes and worm castings, will reammend again in 4 weeks and for the synthetics I did my own ratio of bottle nutes by balancing the grow and bloom nutes in order to feed abit more nitrogen during the stretch phase. As from this week onwards it full strength of bloom. I did some super cropping at the end of week 1 of flip just to build those nice "Knuckles" we like on the stems The synthetics have caught up with the organics during the stretch somewhat, I think it's mostly due to them being super slivers. The stretch on them is INSANE! One can only imagine how they do outdoors! Also discovered a male Super Silver that I will be keeping for pollen, all the other super sipvers plants turned out to be females Bag that B**ch! So the boring part is finally over andnow the interesting part begins. Next update we ll take a closer look at the ladies bud formation. Marzcanna
Start of week 4. Buds are starting form and nothing else much happing except a friend of mine who's quite the grower advised me to heavy defol / schawazz. Now Im not a fan of this but I went and did it on day 21 anyway. After this I ll leave them alone until harvest. I hope it works out and doesn't turn out to be a flop Edited October 19, 2021 by Marzcanna
PsyCLown
Looks good! I doubt you will have any negative effects from the defol you did. 1 1

Marzcanna
What's weeding growmies This one's a bit of a late update this time and really not much to show but here we got the ladies in week 4 & 5 and finally we can see a side by side of a Zkittlez grown in organic and Zkittlez synthetic Zkittlez Synthetic She did seem abit green didn't she? I completely removed nitrogen from her feeding around week 5 so she should use up most of it by harvest and we should see her fading soon Zkittlez Organic Thanx for reading. Marzcanna
Drying & Curing Update: Hows it growing growmies, hope everyone is getting into a festive mood despite the circumstances we find ourselves in. So we have harvested, dried and are now curing our buds. They were air dried at 20 - 22c and at 65% Rh. A little hotter than I'd like so was able to dry them for 7 days instead of the 10-14 days I usally achive. Total dried weight just little above 400 All buds in the jars have a reading of 60 - 67%RH with the one (K-2) being the only one at 67%, 1 week of burping it and it's been brought down to a steady 62% They total curing period at the moment is 2 weeks, with the RH at perfect zone we will do a further cure for atleast anther 6 weeks Next up we ll do a smoke report. Happy Xmas & a happy new year for all Edited December 17, 2021 by Marzcanna 3
