Here's a thought, because you actually have a perpetual grow going. And a nice mother tent. If I recall correctly you are vegging in the mother tent and then pushing them into the flower tent to do their thing. 

This is just an suggestion if you possibly have thought about it before. It could be quite beneficial. 

Let all your plants that you currently have flowering finish, and while you are waiting, prepare 18 clones, to go in there all at once, then give them a decent veg time, this will also reduce the stress factor of a new environment and photoperiod switch, which in my experience has always hindered the stretch phase. 

Its a pretty time efficient option I think, A, because you using the auto pots and B, you have the space to get them to a more than decent size before the final transplant.  

Not that you aren't having success already, the buds say it all  Just want to clarify, you know this forum and its feelings.

Reading my mind! Up until now I was doing a staggered perpetual and doing 6 plants at a time, 18 total at different stages of flower in the flower tent but now that I have finally got the tent empty I want to grow all the plants at the same phase. This will allow me to have some time in veg stage instead of being forced to flower immediately upon entry into flower tent.

The other adjustment I am using is to do fewer plants. I am going to replicate what's going on in the Organic Tent™ and do 4 plants per 1.2m² instead of 9. This will be due to the extra veg time, the plants will each get much bigger so having some extra space would be great. I would also like to do a similar training style with the manifold to increase the per plant average. I think ironically the overall yield by doing the above will perform much better than more plants growing el natural.

Great stuff man! Yea that should be super successful. You can be prepared for a bit longer veg time with 4 plants. but should be quick fast with the auto pots. I find the best way to train them lekke is with a Scrog fence like how that Mr OG @GGG used to smash it.

A little update on the situation at large. I have cleaned and reset the 2.4x1.2 tent and have essentially everything ready to go for the transplant to the autopot system. I have also upgraded the tent slightly by adding an additional 240W QB bringing the total potential LED power in this tent to 960W. I have eight ZxP lined up busy filling up their current sized pots with roots before transplant. This tent is up to a good start so far!

 

 

I am having slight issues in the veg tent at the moment. I have 4 ZxP clones that are each doing different things and I sort of need them to be all level like the 8 in the big tent. I also have a handful of clones in the propagators that are also struggling to root. This started at around the turn of Winter so I have since added a heat mat under the propagators and I am heating the grow room itself as well from now. 

I am hoping that the heat will help the veg tent but if all fails I can take the tops of the 8 ZxP and use 4 of them to replace the plants in the Organic Tent™ and another 4 for the new 1.2x1.2 I have setup and ready to go. This route will delay the 1.2x1.2 I have ready to go but I also just recently ordered some new seeds due to arrive soon so...maybe I take this as an opportunity to instead pop some seeds

Wedding Cake weigh-in! 

Between the 6 WC plants I managed to harvest a total of 215g 

This WC bud smells super good. Sweet vanilla with a hint of that powerful weed diesel smell. Still a little hint of chlorophyll so the cure must continue! I have found that a minimum of two months cure is the sweet spot for an impatient smoker  luckily I have a good supply now so I can practice patience a bit with the curing!

The big tent is geared and ready to go 

Eight ZxP at the beginning of their veg journey. I want the plants to get settled for a few days after transplant before I begin training. 

This run will potentially be how I might continue to grow concurrently and a method I will try to perfect as I also try to perfect my selected strains harvest after harvest. If anything in future, I see myself upgrading the LEDs at a time that this current set have run their course and the next generation finds itself on our shelves, whenever that may be. 

The plan will be to top all the plants and again run a manifold grow style similar to that of the Organic Tent™. I am hoping that the Autopots and airdomes will provide vigorous growth during veg and make the training less time consuming. I will use two layers of nets this time, the first layer to help spread the initial manifold growth and then another layer to keep the colas evenly spread at the canopy level.

A single layer net in the Organic Tent™ was only just enough but the canopy size is not too deep, so the branches managed to hold up relatively well on their own. I would like to get slightly bigger plants going in the big tent so the additional net layer will be a must.

Now that is a good size, you should be ready to flip within a month.

Each plant has been topped and cleaned, with two branches remaining to begin the manifold shape. I will apply the LST tomorrow. I expect the next topping to happen not too long from now.

Observe, the results of pressing hash collected from the trim of my most recent harvests. This is the first time I have ever had dab in my possession, and this shit looks fine as hell. 

Too bad I don't have a dab rig! Can anyone recommend a place to get myself setup?

Best to shop around a bit, pricing is crazy AF - I got a decent silicone rig from African Smoke shop a while back for pretty cheap (I keep breaking my glass setups) only kak thing is I can't smoke flower out of it because resin literally like soaks into it and the smell doesn't come out  

I like putting rosin in my joints - fold the one side of the paper in half and spread a little in-between the fold if you get what I mean, makes it easier to roll with the rosin in the J

Organic Tent™ update! I am busy waiting for the plants to ripen and then we are off to another harvest  expected harvest date is set for the 6th of June. 

Can't complain, everything for once seems perfect.

I have finished the second step in the training process. Today I setup the initial LST to just start flattening the canopy. Next step is to wait for 5/6 branches to develop on each stem then top after the 4th. The manifold should be roughly setup by then and I should also be running through the Autopots by then as well. Right now since transplant I have been lightly watering from the tops, no runoff. There is one plant showing a small amount of stress on one fan leaf, but that leaf will anyways be pruned when the manifold shape is completed.

I bought a dab rig from The High Co and tried some of the hash pressed dab and jissis, this shit is another level neh. You dabber mense have been having this cool little party up here with this extra level of highness  I'm thankful for my tolerance or I'd probably be fast asleep by now. I did over cook one shot and it fecked my nail up a bit but I managed to clean it out for the most part. I'm quite surprised at how smooth it is. Coming from a past of ripping water bongs I sort of expected it to be super harsh but a well timed heat and pull is great

I have sometimes gone weeks without smoking flower and just smoked rosin instead. It's also a nice way to give your lungs abit of a break. I don't know if you know but "cold starting" is the best way to spare your nail/banger.

If you had an unlimited budget, which vape pen would you choose? Specifically to vape concentrate like rosin. 

There are many option and I usually just scroll through vapestore.co.za when I think I have some cash to spare but then I ended up just getting the dab rig for at home use.

Third step of training complete! The branches have all been topped past the 4th node and now each plant has 8 specific stems to produce the canopy. On Tuesday I will be feeding from the Autopot reservoir and shortly after that I will switch on the air pump for the airdomes.

I am hoping for explosive growth from that point on and to build this canopy as fresh as possible. I will start with one lower net that will roughly be the height of the current plants now and then later on I will add another net, probably a week or two after flipping to flower. No more flops. 

The goal for this run is to have as flat a canopy as possible, but also slightly bigger plants than what we have going in the Organic Tent™ but also keep the canopy thickness roughly the same. I have found that keeping a canopy of roughly 20cm thick is usually the move as you will limit the amount of tiny tiny popcorn nugs and have a little more light penetration in general for the most lower buds, but at 20cm thickness they pretty much get direct light from the LEDs.

Due to the manifold one does not get the fat queen colas as you would with growing a normal xmas tree style, so by attempting to get bigger plants I am hoping to increase the size of the buds slightly even with using the manifold technique. This is also a part of the endeavor to increase per plant yield.
