CG420za
@gabba, that's crazy expensive, I get 97% from the pharmacy at R70 for 500ml. found this on bid or buy, check it out http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/219433490/99_Isopropyl_alcohol_500ml_bottles.html
Green Leaf Organics
That's why people like to use stills to make oils that way you get most of your solvent back at it does cost a small fortune.
Green Leaf Organics
And what's the other 3%... more than likely water. Water is a solvent in its self but you do t want to much in there. oils are used to treat sick people and you have to get the very best solvents . Get a well known brand and know what's in it
Guest gabba
Thats why i am wanting only 99% and thats why its R5000 for 10 Litres, its the purest you can get, i am just trying to find out if i can get it cheaper. Im using this to treat people and myself so it needs to be of the highest quality
Green Leaf Organics
That's the right way to do it bud , you won't find it much cheaper any were else. With 10l you can make a lot of oil , if you going to be doing it often look at getting a still . That way you can reuse the solvent a few times
Dabtzar
Def worth getting a still. I get my Ethenol from a mate who makes it for me. Awe

Green Leaf Organics
They guys overseas have adopted a great little desk top distiller that works really well. You can find them on ebay. With this still you can produce your own high quality solvent as well

Green Leaf Organics
No I moved away from chemical solvents a while ago. I have had just as good a result from using water as my solvent as I had from RSO. A friend of mine has one and swears by it
Surv0
Can get ethanol from a chemical supplier, about R550 for 25lts. I wouldnt make medicine with it though, and would only use it to purge the butane from a BHO extract. Have to make sure to burn it all off. Iso/Eth/everclear are polar/non-polar solvents so you are extracting chlorophyll and other compounds as well as the THC/CBD compounds. Hence it looking black. RSO can be made with water, or coconut oil mixed with a high concentrated extract (bubble hash).. one in the same.
