TrailBlazer
Morning Figured I would start a journal here and get a little more involved on this forum. Strains: LC-OG by Emerald Triangle (22 days old from seed) Some controversy over the genetics of this strain. It's supposed to be Chem#4 x Lemon Thai x Paki kush but is actually reefermans NL x Chems Sister x Sour Lemon Larry. Breeding was originally done by Zoolander. It is supposed to be legit. Lemon OG Kush by DNA Genetics (15 days old from seed) Lemon Skunk (las vegas cut) x OG#18 Blue Venom by G13 Labs (22 days old from seed) Blueberry x White Widow Topped the 4 older plants yesterday. I see a calcium deficiency on 3 of the plants. Gave them all some calmag this morning.

TrailBlazer
Thanks guys! I thought I had put all details in, but now realise what a stoner I am. LOL! My medium is coco/perlite. About 70/30. I charge my medium with calmag, but don't think I put enough in this round. In veg I use a 600w HPS light, and then in bloom I will add 360w of LED as well. I've found that mixing the 2 gives excellent results. I did this for the first time last round, and was really impressed with the end result. Nice dense buds that pack a wallop! I've added more LED for this round, so hopefully I get even better results. We'll see.
Toby
Thanks Trailblazer, good to see another grow using various light options. Im keen to see how your grow goes with the lighting you've mentioned. Im using a similar light configuration currently. Keep us posted
TrailBlazer
Wasn't going to update just yet, but the plants were looking so happy I decided to take a quick pic. Here they are at 23 and 16 days. I will up-pot the bigger plants this weekend.

TrailBlazer
Transplanted the 4 bigger girls into 5 gal smart pots last night. It went very well. No issues whatsoever. I always get a little nervous when up-potting. Plants are at 26 days for the bigger ones and 19 days for the 2 Lemons.
TrailBlazer
Don't worry bud. I will keep the pics coming. I just soak my seeds in a shot glass of RO water, and then after 24 hours straight into coco/perlite. If it is cold, I will put them under the HPS to prevent the damp coco from getting too cold. Works well for me and it is simple.
Green Leaf Organics
Looking good , can't wait to try some I still find germination can be tricky even after years of doing this.
TrailBlazer
Looking good , can't wait to try some I still find germination can be tricky even after years of doing this. That makes 2 of us bud. LOL! Very keen to try out the Lemon OG. I hope I get a nice citrusy pheno. The LC-OG is already putting out a bit of a smell. If you rub the leaves that is. TrailBlazer
UPDATE Day 29 and 22 for the lemons. So finally we have something to talk about. About 8 or 9 days ago I noticed a calmag issue on the 4 bigger plants, and a touch of def on one of the lemons. I do charge my coco with calmag, but realised that this time I had used less than I normally do. Just a stoner mistake. No problem, as I then just started supplementing with calmag earlier in veg than I normally would. All the plants corrected nicely, except for one Blue Venom. It got worse. So this morning, I hit them all with a stronger dose of calmag and gave the girls in the big pots more water so that the calmag can saturate the medium a bit more. Lets see what happens in the next 2 to 3 days. I have highlighted the problem child in the pic below.
TrailBlazer
LOL! I used to freak out when stuff like this happens, and then try 100 different things to fix it which in turn usually made it worse. Now I'm not too fazed. That plant will either come right or it won't . Chances are it will be fine this time next week.
TrailBlazer
No flushing. 15L of RO water, and 10L of pH'd tap water. I add the calmag to the tap water. Tap water gets added after RO water. Then just add my perlite and we're good to go.
Green Leaf Organics
You should always flush new coco very well as it can contain large amounts of salt still.
TrailBlazer
Cool thanks guys. I will make a plan to do that in future. I'm a lazy fucker, but this makes good sense.
TrailBlazer
Praying for the light this morning. Much better... Have a look at the size of that fan in the background. Absolute overkill. LOL! I purchased it online, without realising just how big it is. Even on it's lowest setting, it produces gale force winds in the tent. I doubt I will be able to keep it in the tent when the plants get bigger. What a waste.
cheese420
Looking good there trail....What nutes you been using?
TrailBlazer
Thanks bud I'm using Nutriplex. Very happy with those nutes. Been using them for a while now.
cheese420
I think I'll give Nutriplex a try after I run out of the EHG nutes. Amped to follow this grows progress
TrailBlazer
I don't think you will be disappointed with Nutriplex.
420SA
I use Nutriplex too. Works great! Do you up your strengths TB? I find i have to go higher than the amounts they indicate
TrailBlazer
It depends on the strain, but yes, I do go higher often. With this round, was already feeding 8ml/10L at about 2 weeks in veg. In flower I will push it until I start seeing burnt tips. I use the schedule provided by GThydro which is a bit more aggressive than the official schedule provided by Nutriplex. Also, in flower I tend to increase the bloom portion after about 5 weeks of flowering.
