cheese420
Update day 43 of 12/12 The smell of this plant is now more pronounced I would say....very sour and fuely smell...its amazing! Some up close shots....Will post a full pic after when into week 7 I really think I may purchase the bubble bags for this harvest...either that or I need to try my hand at a BHO extraction
TrailBlazer
Nice and frosty!
cheese420
Update day 50 of 12/12 Things going well as the end is in sight. Raredankness's site suggests 50-65 days...I believe this will probably go the 65 as it was set back with all that stress earlier in the flowering period. The top cola's were also affected by the heat stress a bit more than I thought...the lower growth is further along as the tops were growing back what got burnt Been feeding just bloom nutrients at pH 5.8 daily still Couple of pics:
TrailBlazer
Looking good brother. Actually looks a little like the smaller Lost Coast OG I'm running. I suppose they share some genetics, so not so surprising. I see we flipped to 12/12 on exactly the same day.
cheese420
Lol yeah I noticed that, I was always watching your updates and comparing Noticing how's your looked at one point I was getting concerned with this scotts because it looked like it was lagging and then suddenly it seemed to turn a corner and start bulking up more Man you lucky got got such a nice selection of gear to smoke, seeing all this wasted space in my tent gets to me...but definitely aiming to fix that with next round! TrailBlazer
That OG of yours should keep you nice and baked while you cook up some more strains. What you got planned for the next grow bud?
cheese420
I sure hope so! I am actually planning on growing the scotts again but from clone and to try out a scrog for the first time I received my HSO Bubba's Gift from a bonza order but since the clones are already growing I thought they are good candidates to scrog with You got anything in mind for the next grow?
TrailBlazer
Yeah, that makes sense bud. The plan for the next grow (which should be in a few weeks) is: - 2 x Aurora Indica - 2 x Atomic Bomb - 2 X Skunk #1 That is assuming all seeds pop. *touch wood*
cheese420
Lol moving away from all the kush Nice selection though :thumbups
TrailBlazer
Well... the atomic bomb is chemdawg x bomb #1. As far as I am concerned chemdawg, OGK, diesel are all very similar, sharing similar genetics.
cheese420
Day 54 of 12/12 - Close up shots So I think this grow is drawing to a close....Some of tips of the top cola's do not look as done as they should be but the bottom buds which never got slightly burnt tell a different story. Thinking about another 4 or 5 more days and then harvest time I ordered a LED microscope from takealot but since its sold through a distributor it is taking quite a bit longer to be shipped. http://www.takealot.com/carson-micromax-led-lighted-microscope/PLID41459138 So until that arrives I wont be able to look at trichome colour I am blown away by the crystal coverage on this girl...the pics don't even do it justice, its coated and some of the tips are insane...very happy with the genetics as initially I was worried by the fem seed Next update will be a full plant shot and some harvest pics I guess....I am often not around at times to get pics in natural lighting
TrailBlazer
Fucken beautiful man. Nice furry buds. She looks nice and potent as well. Not that you can tell from a photo... but, you kind of can. LOL!
420SA
Great growing cheese! I reckon you should hold out until you can make 100% sure with that microscope. At least until day 60... but that's just my
cheese420
Thanks gents! Haha trail I am hoping she is a potent smoke as well @420SA I think so too! The microscope says it should arrive by 25th latest which is quite a while so I am definitely going to hold out till the 60 day mark
cheese420
Day 58 of 12/12 - Harvest day and final pics Well I harvested today and it was partially forced but I didn't mind as the plants looked ready. The microscope arrived literally mid way through lol...but the main issue was I had to unexpectedly have a friend over for a few days due to some unforeseen circumstances and I could not risk the clones being seen as they are very much in a side corner (ghetto style) Anyway I did scope some trichomes of buds that I took off and I could see some milkyness...was very epic seeing those through the microscope actually! The 2 clones are now in the tent and getting ready for a scrog Here are many pics since its the final....I liked the fade she was getting...Hoping I can enter a pic or two from the shots I took today into POTM Harvest This grow was actually to experiment with the H3ads formula that I mentioned on page 1. It was by far the simplest routine to follow and worked out great! I recommend it to anyone starting out on coco that maybe stumbles upon this on the forum. Thanks to everyone who followed along, I wish I could share some of the end product with ya'll, but one day when cannabis is legal Smoke report coming soon.... TrailBlazer
Epic brother! Some super frosty nug shots there. Looks like you got a decent yield as well. What are you hoping to yield from her bud? Congrats on the harvest. I would give reps if I could.
cheese420
Thanks man...Yeah I am really wondering about doing a BHO extraction now with the trim...I made a bucket separate with the more sugary leaves Hmm that is a tough one because I knew I would be flowering while she was still quite small. I guess I want about 60g worth of solid nugs. I wont be phased by the yield this time but the scrog I would like to push the numbers up
TrailBlazer
Looks like more than 60g to me, but photos can be deceiving. Throw some of those photos up in SOTM.
Toby
Hey bud, congrats on the harvest. Looking lekker. Whats your plans for drying and curing?
cheese420
Shot Toby! I have them drying as they are in the pic, with a gentle breeze flowing in that cab and got my jars ready for when they good to take down
Dabtzar
Yummy that looks delicious!! Did you take any cuts of the scotts by any chance? If so did you find her and easy giver?
cheese420
Yeah Dabs I did, I got two that are quite bushy that were growing in coco under a 100W CFL...they got a bit neglected but now they in the tent I think she definitely is man...She went through some rough initial patches and then still impressed through to the end
Dabtzar
So was she easy to clone? how many days it take for you to get roots?
cheese420
Yeah they were...I actually took the cuttings in flowering time, probably around week 2 and kept the coco wet and they rooted while in the flowering tent. Then I moved them to a cfl....Wasn't an ideal way to do it but it was much warmer in there. Sorry i forgot to add they took about 7 days and at the 10th day roots were very noticable
