Sir Blaze Alot
Howzit Guys Yeah so my Choco 1and 2 have made a dramatic comeback ! Unfortunately I don't have pics of the roots I transplanted them into my living soil as soon as I got them The KO Kush, Mad Jackberry and KO Kush 2 seem to be fading out somewhat but I will let them do their thing. As for the rest of my babies they seem to be stretching while they flower Northern Lights Kojack NL x KO Kush Choco 1 And KO Kush are well over 1 meter already and it's only week 3 of flower. Totemic
I germinate my seeds by soaking them for 24 hours in plain tap water that has stood for 24h or so. I only soak the seeds for 24hrs. Anymore and you actually risk drowning the embryo. From there they get planted straight into their medium at a depth of at least 10mm. After 2-4 days those that have germinated will surface. huzair
Bros you guys know your stuff.... What would be the best medium for growing ? i have seen many mixes of earth with perlite worm casings so on... whats the easiest and readily available... TIA PEACE
Totemic
There really isn't an "easiest" method, or medium to growing. Everybody has to find what works for them. Coco/perlite (soiless) is pretty straight forward, but you are going to need a ph and ec pen for fertilizing. Same applies to hydro. Organic promix might be your best start if you don't want the added expense. Although even these need amendment of sorts. You will still need some lekker organic nutrients to feed. Full on living organics is even simpler. All you do is mix your soil, and then wait. 2 months minimum, but the longer you leave it to age the "sweeter" the soil becomes. This can also be a relatively expensive route, but there is little that beats a bud grown in a good living soil. For a quick solution, have a look what the various online stores have available. Jamiesgardenshop.co.za is a place to visit. He has an organic living soil named Orgasoilux. Hope this helps.
Sir Blaze Alot
Howzit Folks hot a new phone only figured out now how to operate this beast my bad, A very overdue update is the order of the day lol as Totemic said right there is how it's done . Guest Troy
A few problems I have with that vid. 1. You are suppose to remove the seeds from the water as soon as you notice a crack in their "shells" , I'm with Totemic , nothing more than 24 hours. 2. When working with your seeds , wear gloves as you risk the chance of contaminating your seeds and yes it may sound a bit over board but when you paying R 100 plus a seed you do not want to take chances. 3. Please note when working with auto flower seeds it is better to let them germinate in the medium you are planning on growing in and avoid transplanting auto flowers as their life cycle is short enough and you do not want to stunt them . Guest Maxwell
Yea or just don't buy auto's....
420SA
I can't really see the point to autos unless you're growing outdoors and want the plant to flower sooner... Are there any other benefits?
Guest Troy
Clearly you have never cross bred an auto with a normal photo period. Let me explain . I took a photo period durban poison female "dutch passion" and pollinated her with the pollen I made from changing the sex of an auto flower durban poison also from dutch passion . The F1's contained about 25% of the autoflower characteristics , so I pollinated them again with the same pollen and now I have roughly a 50/50 . I grow them outdoors as with our weather most of the strains I grew just ended up to hermie , so now they veg for 2 to 3 months and then automatically start to flower and 80% of the seeds that I have planted to date turned out female. It was a long project almost 2 years to date but definitely a lot of fun .
