I'm pulling up a chair if you don't mind. First time grower here and nothing like having a bit of local knowledge. I'm also from Cape Town and have 2 nice genetics atm in DC OG and Vanilla. Will be getting a GSC next week once rooted so would be great to hook up sometime bud.

Anyhow an amazing setup you got

Z while I have you buzzing around 420, with regards to the tea, how often would it be required of me to feed the ladies and would it need to be the quality of her majesty's tea?

firstly im no guru on the subject, but here's what i did:

In a 5 litre water bottle drill two holes in the cap so that a aquarium air tube can fit in the hole.

Use water from 1 cup washed rice or oats, that starchy milky water.

Add to bottle

Add 2 handfuls of compost

A table spoon or two of molasses, I use date molasses, extremely high in trace elements, better than the cane type imo, which highly dosed with pesticides.

A table spoon of seabird guano powder

A tsp of seagro

Sometimes a dash or mycoroot

A handful of organic fertilizer based on poultry manure/kelp meal

Connect the aquarium pump, after 48hours, the concoction will have a woody smell like mushrooms almost

Feed to plants until runoff, repeat after a week or two

Where do you get most of your organic supplies? The Hydro shop in Claremont or Kraaifontein? Need to get supplies for feeding tea. Have you made Sprout seed tea yet? I'm going to cook some of that also, just need to figure out a container with an airlock first

Nice one. I'll give that a whirl too. Sounds yummy for the plants

So here is the mix I received from a mate up North who Currently has a journal on 420magazine international:

I do 20L containers diluted into 100L 1 cup WC 3/4 cup mushroom compost 3/4 cup kelp 1/2cup gypsum and lime 3/4 cup blended up barley 1/2 cub bonemeal and tablespoon molasses and i just pour in aboit 20ml aloe juice. That's basic microbial life starter. After that you can do basic teas .. barley you want to add 4 hours before twas ready though of if you just doing a barley yeah just blend it and bubble for 4 hours. Alfalfa or lucerne sprout teas you want to go at half strength. Read the link i dropped on your grow for ratios. But barley lucerne and popcorn are are good base for sst .. any sprout will do some just have better things in em.
